NAGPUR: Two cases of molestation of minors were reported at different police stations on Saturday. In both the cases, police have registered offence under sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
In the first incident, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly stalked by a jilted lover who also made her several calls to her. The accused, identified as Puvendra alias Raja Mhatre, also wrote letters to the survivor and forced her to come alone to his home. Lakadganj police have registered a case of molestation in the matter.
In another incident, a 17-year-old girl was stalked by her neighbour who also hurled abuses at her. The girl lodged a complaint at Wadi police station. The accused, identified as Piyush Singh, has been arrested.
